Welcome

We are delighted to introduce you to Sancta Maria College, and we invite you to browse our website where you will learn about the special qualities of our school and the outstanding all-round education we offer. Sancta Maria College is a vibrant all-girls Catholic Voluntary Secondary School, with over 570 students. We are a proud Mercy School under the trusteeship of CEIST, which places relationships at the centre of everything that we do.We are guided daily by the CEIST values of promoting spiritual and human development, achieving quality teaching and learning, showing respect for every person, creating community and being just and responsible. We are very proud of the robust, academic and holistic education our dedicated and passionate teachers provide, where each student is encouraged and inspired to reach their potential. We are delighted that our students achieve high levels of success in the State Examinations and our past pupils are very well represented in a wide range of 3rd level courses and careers.

Our stunning school building is a first-class modern build, which encourages creativity and innovation. Our classrooms are very well resourced with learning materials and digital technology, that enhance the learning experience for all.

Our extensive range of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities enable students to get fully involved in our school community. We encourage our students to compete in a wide range of sports such as Gaelic football, camogie, soccer, basketball and badminton. In addition, we offer our students the opportunity to engage in many activities such as the Young Scientist Exhibition, our TY Musical, Choir, Gaisce, charity events and school tours, both in Ireland and abroad, as well as a plethora of lunchtime and afterschool clubs.

We are truly inspired by our student leaders, who work diligently in their roles on the Student Leadership Team, Student Council, Green Schools Committee and Wellbeing Committee to bring about meaningful change and make our school and local community a better place.

We place a high value on our partnership with our parents and guardians and we work together with them to ensure our students will realise their full potential in all aspects of their lives.

We would like to thank you for your interest in our school. Should you need more information about the college, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
