Parents/guardians of children and young people seeking a special class or special school place for the 2027/2028 school year will be required to notify the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) by 1 st September 2026 (this has been extended, but please complete as soon as possible) and to provide necessary documentation by 15th September 2026 or as soon as is reasonably practicable thereafter. Remember, this is only for students who are applying for places in special schools or special classes, not for mainstream students with special/additional educational needs.
